Attendance-most of our learning is through hands on. This makes your student being in class important, unless your student is ill or in an emergency of course!
Emergencies- please make sure we have the correct emergency information on file for your child. If phone numbers change, you can call or send a note so your child's file can be updated!
Book Orders-about once a month, a book order form will come home from Scholastic. You can also order online using the Scholastic Book Orders tab. This is a great way to purchase books, while helping our class earn points towards other items!
Field trips-our class will be going on field trips this year. Permission slips must be returned for your child to attend.
Communication-please feel free to contact me by e-mail or call me at school with questions or concerns at any time. You can also send a note on your child's Progress Report or Report Card.
Graded work-all graded work will come home weekly. Grades will be posted as soon as possible. You can check HAC for updated grades.
Dismissal-school ends at 2:50. You must send a written note to school if your child is to go home a different way than his/her normal schedule- especially if he/she is going home with someone else!
Homework- your child may have homework Monday through Thursday. It must come back to school the day by the due date. Please check their agenda daily.
Important info-if you have any important papers that need to come to school, please send them back with your student to turn in to the appropriate drawer.
Money-when sending money to school, please put it in a labeled envelope with student's name, Mrs. Robinson and what it is for written on it. If it is lunch money, please remind your student to take it to the cafeteria before school.
Questions - If you have any questions, please use the agenda to communicate with me or you may call/email.
Unique-Every child is unique in their own special way!
You - You are an important part of your child's education!
Jobs well done-Students will be given a job periodically to take ownership of our classroom and to work together to make our work environment clean. I want students to take pride in our classroom and make it their own.
Newsletters -newsletters with class updates of classroom happenings, will be emailed and posted on this website for you to access at home.
Reading- students are expected to read at home every night. Encourage them to bring their library books home to read.
Volunteers- We love volunteers! Moms, dads, grand-parents... you can volunteer in class or work on things for class at home. Please let me know if you'd like to help and we can find a classroom job for you!
ZZZ's - Make sure your child is well rested everyday!
Kindness- we will learn about being kind to others and ourselves every day. Purple Sage Elementary has a 0 tolerance policy for bullying.
Outside- As weather permits, we will go outside for recess. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately everyday.
Supplies- Students should have all school supplies for a successful year.
Website- Our website is updated weekly with our newsletter, spelling list, pictures, and more so check it out!
Lunch- our lunch time is from ---- pm until ----- pm. If you come in during this time, be sure to sign in at the office and pick up a visitor's pass!
Parties- if you would like to help with a class party or provide snacks or favors, please let me know! There will be a letter that will be sent home around the time of our party.
Tardies- students should be at school by 7:40. Arriving after this time causes students to lose instructional time.
